Tradition and History

The Sessa Family established their business in 1883 on President Street and in the early 1900's, moved their establishment to Bay Ridge. In 1985 Jay merged with McLaughlin Funeral Home and solidifies the continuation of a family tradition which has cared and brought dignity to the funeral industry for over 100 years.

Our Funeral Homes boasts unparalleled services such as a staff of over 20, including 5 licensed funeral directors and embalmers with experience ranging from 7 years to 36 years. A member of our professional staff answers the phones twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year; meaning no answering service ever. We are proud to be the only Funeral Home in Bay Ridge that handles all preparation and embalming directly on our premises; all other Funeral Homes in Bay Ridge use outside services to handle the care of your loved one.

Our Chapel facilities are newly renovated and all of our Chapels are comfortable for both large and small gatherings. We also provide a parking lot during extended hours.
